For Low-Income Countries, Cost of Child Restraints Can Be a Barrier

For low- and middle-income countries, the cost of child restraints can be an inhibiting factor, so local solutions to encourage use need to be found. Subsidies for child-restraint purchase, or schemes where they are made available at no cost or on loan, have been shown to be effective in increasing usage rate.
