2014 International Road Safety Executive Dinner
October 30 saw GRSP host the 2014 International Road Safety Executive Dinner at the President Wilson Hotel in Geneva.
It was a distinguished gathering comprising thought leaders, advocates and innovators in the field of road safety. The evening was in part a celebration, acknowledging some achievements of the year. It presented an opportunity to connect, it was above all however, a chance to make time in a less frantic setting to talk, to share, to reflect and enjoy a pleasant evening with like-minded colleagues.
Guests were honoured to have on the evening as special guest and speaker, His Excellency Amr Al Dabbagh, Founding Chairman of new GRSP member, Stars Foundation, who spoke eloquently on the principles of ‘Giving, Earning and Sustaining’. (Pictured left to right, Dr Jean-Yves Le Coz, GRSP Chairman; His Excellency Amr Al Dabbagh; Dr Pieter Venter, GRSP CEO)The dinner was a fitting finale to a ‘road safety in focus‘ month within the Geneva secretariat of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent during which the GRSP secretariat team conducted a month long programme of communications initiatives to bring road safety to the front of mind of Federation staff, visiting National Society delegations, staff on loan as well as guests from a range of international humanitarian and private sector organizations.
