Australian Government develops new business programme
On the fifth of May in Melbourne, Australia, HRH Prince Michael of Kent will launch a new Australian Government road safety initiative known as the National Road Safety Partnership Programme (NRSPP).
The programme recognizes that promoting road safety is everyone’s responsibility and that the business sector has the ability and financial incentive to help reduce their bottom line through improved road safety initiatives.
Organizations which become involved in the programme will set a focus on providing a complete safe environment for their employees extending beyond the workplace to include their travel. Further, leading businesses will extend the road safety message to the broader public, thereby helping to improve awareness of the risks involved, promoting solutions and protecting their employees and their families.
NRSPP aims to provide the medium which will promote the collaboration and sharing of road safety knowledge, initiatives and risk management between businesses, government and researchers. Its resources will be valuable to all, not just businesses in Australia.
